We’re currently hiring for our Waldo / Brookside / South Kansas City / Prairie Village service area.

  • Position: Part-Time Pet Sitter (Very flexible hours)
  • Schedule: Visits are typically scheduled in 1–3 hour blocks. Perfect for someone looking to earn extra income while having time for other commitments.

Sample time windows:
6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

This is a part-time position and works best as supplemental income, not primary income. Hours are not guaranteed and start very part-time, with opportunities for additional visits during weekends, busy seasons and holidays.

What This Role Actually Involves

This is real, hands-on pet care. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Visiting clients’ homes to care for dogs and cats
  • Feeding, walking, playtime, and enrichment
  • Administering medications when needed
  • Cleaning litter boxes and handling pet messes
  • Writing clear visit notes for clients
  • Driving between appointments in all types of weather

You’ll often be working independently and must be comfortable making good judgment calls while following written instructions.

Physical & Practical Requirements

This role requires that you are able to:

  • Navigate stairs in typical homes
  • Lift up to 40 lbs
  • Walk dogs in various weather conditions
  • Use a smartphone and learn new apps
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with both clients and management, in writing and verbally.
  • Drive reliably within our service area

You must have:

  • A valid driver’s license
  • Vehicle registration and insurance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
