“I’ve hired Rachelle a few times now and it’s always a high quality experience. I’ve never wondered about my pets in her care and I appreciate the pictures she sends. Sometimes there’s 6-12 months in between visits and she still remembers tiny details about my pets, which is impressive. I’d recommend her to anyone.” (Kristin B Google reviews)
Why choose a professional to care for your pets?
Familiar Surroundings
When pets are cared for in their own home, they have reduced stress. This means reduced stress for you! Pets stay on their normal routines and do not need to adapt to new environments. Also, there’s no “travel trauma” to your pets, because they do not need to be transported anywhere. Pets are often much happier when they stay in their own homes. Keeping pets in their own homes while you’re away significantly reduces the risk of illness. They also avoid exposure which can happen in a setting with other animals.
Personalized Attention
A private pet sitter can often spend more one-on-one time with your dog or cat when it’s just your pets. Why not take advantage of a sitter who can spend time cuddling with your kitty on the couch, or playing fetch with your dog in the backyard?
Responsible and reliable
When you choose a professional sitter, this is their job. You’ll know what time frames to expect your sitter and get an update with pictures after each visit. We’re trained for a variety of pets and scenarios that could happen. We hope nothing does, but we are insured for the ‘just in case’. We make note of possible health concerns and personality changes and alert the owners in our updates. We can coordinate a vet visit if needed, and in case of emergency we have pet first aid and CPR training. If you’re away, we do our best to give you the peace of mind that your pets are in great hands. At LAPS, we use Fear Free methods to keep them as comfortable as possible.
