Five years ago, Loving Arms Pet Services(LAPS) began with a simple goal: to help pet owners leave home knowing their pets would be safe, comfortable, and cared for by someone who genuinely loved them.
At the time, I couldn’t have imagined where that journey would lead.
Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting hundreds of pets and the people who love them. I’ve celebrated puppy milestones, watched kittens grow into confident adults, and helped senior pets navigate their golden years. I’ve laughed at countless silly pet antics, cried when beloved companions crossed The Rainbow Bridge, and stood beside clients during some of life’s most difficult moments.
What I’ve learned is that pet care is about so much more than feeding pets or taking dogs for walks.
It’s about trust.
Every time you hand over your keys, leave town, or ask for help with your pet, you’re trusting someone with a member of your family. That’s never something I’ve taken lightly.
Looking Back at Five Amazing Years

Since opening our doors, Loving Arms Pet Services has:
- Served 142 pet sitting families
- Helped 33 dog training clients
- Completed more than 6,670 pet care visits
- Shared over 53,000 photos in updates with pet parents
We’ve cared for pets at every stage of life—from 8-week-old puppies and kittens learning about the world to senior pets, including a 21-year-old cat and a 16-year-old dog.
We’ve helped nervous new pet owners, supported families through health challenges, celebrated training breakthroughs, and provided comfort and consistency when pets needed it most.
Every pet has left a mark on us, and every family has helped shape Loving Arms Pet Services into what it is today.
Growing Beyond One Person

When I started LAPS, it was just me.
Today, Loving Arms Pet Services has grown into a team of dedicated pet care professionals who share the same commitment to compassionate, attentive care.
One of the things I’m most proud of is that our growth has never changed our values. We still believe in paying attention to the little things. We still believe communication matters. We still believe every pet deserves individualized care and that every client deserves peace of mind while they’re away.
As our team grows, I’m grateful that so many of you have trusted not only me, but also the incredible team members who now help care for your pets.
The Moments That Matter Most
When people ask what the best part of this job is, it isn’t the numbers, It’s the relationships.

It’s the shy cat who finally comes out to greet us.
It’s the nervous puppy who gains confidence.
It’s the senior dog who still gets excited when we arrive, albeit a little slower than years before.
It’s watching a family go from feeling overwhelmed and frustrated to feeling confident, connected, and able to enjoy life with their dog again.
It’s the client who can finally enjoy a vacation because they know their pets are in good hands.
Those moments are what make this work meaningful.
Thank You
To the clients who trusted us during our first year, thank you.

To those who have referred friends and family, thank you.
To those who have left reviews, shared kind words, and supported us along the way, thank you.
And to the families who have joined us more recently, thank you for welcoming us into your homes and allowing us to be part of your pets’ lives.
Every visit, every update, every lesson, and every relationship has helped make these past five years possible.
Here’s to many more barkdays, purrdays, adventures, cuddles, and memories ahead,
Rachelle
