When Life Together Isn’t Working the Way You Hoped

Behavior Reset is designed for dogs whose behaviors are creating friction in daily life and making it difficult for the family and dog to enjoy life together.

Whether you’re struggling with barking, pulling, jumping, difficulty settling, attention-seeking behaviors, household manners, or feeling frustrated and stuck, you’re not alone.

Our goal is to identify what’s happening, understand why it’s happening, and determine what changes will create lasting success.

The behavior you call about isn’t always where training begins.

Sometimes we discover missing skills, unmet needs, unrealistic expectations, or communication gaps that need to be addressed first.

The Foundation First Assessment

Every Behavior Reset client begins with a Foundation First Assessment.

What Happens During the Foundation First Assessment? The Foundation First Assessment is more than observing a behavior.

We’ll discuss your dog’s history, daily routines, environment, training experience, health considerations, and the challenges you’re currently facing.

Our goal is to identify the factors contributing to the behavior and determine where training should begin.

Sometimes the behavior you call about is exactly where we start. Other times, that’s not where the training needs to begin

Other times we discover missing skills, communication gaps, unmet needs, management challenges, or unrealistic expectations that need to be addressed first.

The assessment helps us recommend the level of support most likely to help your family succeed.

Meet Your Trainer

For more than 25 years, I’ve worked with thousands of dogs through rescue, shelter work, pet sitting, behavior support, and private training. Over the years, one thing became clear: behavior challenges are rarely just about the behavior itself. Many of the families I work with aren’t dealing with stubborn or “bad” dogs. They’re dealing with communication gaps, unmet needs, unrealistic expectations, or dogs that simply need a different kind of support than they’ve received so far.

The Foundation First Method was developed to help families better understand the dog in front of them and build the skills needed for long-term success together.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”Rachelle did a fantastic job training my blue heeler Dave. Also, she trained me on what to do to help him learn commands and calm down. She explains things in a way that are easy to understand and in digestible segments. Her communication on appointment times were top notch, and she is always punctual. Could not recommend enough, and I’ll be referring her to my friends and family!” Jim via Google Review

Behavior Reset

Behavior Reset combines in-person training, coaching, accountability, resources, and ongoing support to help both dogs and families develop the skills needed for lasting change.

This program is designed for families who are able to do most of the day-to-day practice and implementation between sessions while receiving guidance, feedback, and support throughout the process.

Together we’ll identify priorities, create a practical plan, track progress, and adjust as needed based on your dog’s response and your family’s goals.

Intensive Behavior Reset

Some families need additional support in the early stages of training.

Intensive Behavior Reset includes everything in Behavior Reset plus additional hands-on implementation, coaching, and support to help build momentum more quickly.

This option is often recommended when families have limited time available for training, when additional accountability would be helpful, or when more direct involvement is likely to improve success.

The goal isn’t simply faster progress.

The goal is helping both the dog and family develop the skills needed for long-term success.

Why Support Levels Vary

Every dog and family is different.

Some families need primarily coaching and guidance between sessions. Others benefit from more hands-on support and implementation in the early stages of training. Rather than fitting every dog into the same package, we recommend the level of support most likely to help your family succeed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Rachelle is wonderful to work with! We’ve been doing all of the training that she has taught us and our dog has turned into an amazing boy. 10/10 recommend.”  Anastacia via Google review
